Bethlehem House

Compassionate crisis, transitional and permanent accommodation men who are experiencing homelessness in Tasmania.

Bethlehem House is a Special Work of the St Vincent de Paul Society Tasmania that offers accommodation, support, and associated services for men who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness in central Hobart. This is the only 24hr staffed service focused solely upon men in Tasmania.

Each year, Bethlehem House provides up to 12,500 bed nights from its centrally located position, adjacent to the Hobart CBD. The House offers ease of access to the many service providers required by those seeking support and assistance, with case management and referral forming a core base of the supportive environment. Bethlehem House also prepares more than 30,000 meals per year for residents and men who are experiencing homelessness.
