Donating your unwanted items and clothing when you no longer need them is the perfect way to help those less fortunate than yourself while saving the planet at the same time. Reducing landfill and recycling your clothes and goods means less pollution and less greenhouse gasses. It also lowers the rate of slave and child labour in the clothing industry.
So, if you have decided that it’s time to declutter, or the kids have outgrown their clothes, but they are still in great condition, Vinnies would love to hear from you. By donating your pre-loved items to Vinnies, they will get a new life, support Tasmanians doing it tough and reduce landfill plus its impact on the environment.
Vinnies shops need your great quality items to help fund Vinnies programs across the State that support thousands of vulnerable people every year.
What can I donate? When considering whether something can be donated to Vinnies, our rule of thumb is if you’d give it to a friend, then it’s ok to give to Vinnies.
Thank you so much, in advance, for your wonderful donations.
It takes a lot of volunteer hours to sort through the thousands of tonnes of items that are donated. But sadly, we receive many items that aren’t saleable – in fact these cost us money rather than helping us. Please do not donate any of the following:
