Return and Earn – It’s feel good recycling!

Hundreds of Australian individuals, families, schools, community groups and businesses have embraced Return and Earn and Vinnies is proud to offer multiple locations across the state.

Keep the 10c refund from your eligible containers for yourself, or donate some of your refund to Vinnies.

Volunteer at your local Vinnies Return and Earn Depot

If you want to help by donating your time, Vinnies Return and Earn Depots are always looking for volunteers.

Our depots are serving a growing number of people and to ensure we are able to meet demand and provide excellent customer service we need volunteers.

You will learn valuable skills while helping process refunds and be well-supported by the Vinnies Return and Earn team.

What is Return and Earn?

Return and Earn is a scheme whereby you collect eligible drink containers, take them to one of our Vinnies depots, and receive a cash refund for your recycling efforts.

Most drink bottles and cans are eligible for a refund. Cans (e.g. soft drink), bottles, cartons & juice boxes or poppers. Most containers between 150ml and 3 litres are accepted. However they must still be in good condition, be empty and have the label attached. If you're not sure, look for the 10c label on the container to see if it is eligible, or check at our Depots.

1.6 billion fewer containers littered
Almost 11 billion fewer containers ending up in landfill
12.6 billion more beverage containers being recycled

Partner your business or school with us for Return and Earn

Partnering with us is easy and offers your business a strong, well-recognised and loved charity to be supported with. Additionally, this service is provided at no cost to your school, community group or business.

Many organisations have partnered with us given the cost benefit - your garbage disposal costs are greatly reduced as recyclable drink containers are removed from waste stream. Our current partners enjoy and promote their partnership via their corporate sustainability program and by reducing their landfill footprint.

We provide a tax invoice at EOFY for your total donation value. It’s win win!
